SwiftSignet does not describe itself as “HIPAA certified.” HIPAA compliance is an ongoing program of safeguards, policies, risk analysis, contracts and operational practices.
Before PHI is processed
Customers should contact SwiftSignet before using the service for protected health information where a BAA is required. The parties should execute an appropriate BAA and confirm that the service configuration and subprocessors support the intended use.
Security program
The program should include access controls, authentication, audit logging, incident response, risk analysis, workforce procedures, vendor management, backup/recovery and appropriate technical safeguards.
